Dubai based Canadian duo Gayatri and Priya identified that women in Dubai are free spirited and they celebrate beauty. Their belief that beauty must match with a clear conscious led to culminate a cruelty free fashion brand- The Dubai Dolls. Both of them are passionately working to offer the shades of this city for the free spirited and feisty women of Dubai.
How they support cruelty-free beauty products
Transcontinental Times spoke to the entrepreneur duo to know how they are committed to promote cruelty-free beauty products and contribute back to society by working towards a social cause like child education.
This homegrown brand is working passionately to create niche for itself. Gayatri Sagar, Co-founder, The Dubai Dolls shared with Transcontinental Times that The Dubai Dolls is a cruelty free brand with purpose. All the products offered by them is paraben free, gluten free, toxin free and cruelty free. The products comprise nothing which can harm skin. The colours and shades are vibrant and magnificent and a reflection of how this duo sees Dubai.
The Dubai Dolls offers four Lip Shine shades which celebrates the beauty of the city. Each shade is named after some of the most popular destinations of Dubai; The Burj, La Mer, The Palm and Marina. These Lip shades resonates with the iconic places of the city. ‘The Burj’ is iconic bold red shade represents the most vibrant thing in Dubai- Burj Khalifa; a bright coral shade for ‘La Mer’; ‘The Palm’ is an iconic creamy nude shade; and ‘Marina’ reflects a popping Fuchsia shade.
Gayatri and Priya believes that any positive change in the society can be brought only through education. They decided to contribute the 2% of their sales for the child education by supporting various social groups based across countries, majority of them are in India. They also choose an initiative every alternate month to give back to the society. Soon after the launch, during Covid times, The Dubai Dolls extended support to five thousand labours by providing them masks and safety kits. The choose such initiatives which are close to their heart and can create an impact on the larger part of the society. Their goal is to be a global movement and not just a global beauty brand.
The Dubai Dolls plan to expand their product portfolio by launching new products around Christmas 2020 followed by more products in January 2021.
