AFGHANISTAN. Kabul: Speaking to the Pakistani Media, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said that once the United States withdraws from Afghanistan, the situation in the region will take a serious turn. He added that in this situation, India is going to be the “biggest loser”, and the US is also at a loss in the whole situation.

In a statement, Khan said, “India is involved in terrorism”, and there is clear-cut evidence indicating India’s involvement in recent terrorism in Lahore. India’s massive investment that worth billions of dollars in Afghanistan are at stake after the US withdrawal from the country.”

“Pakistan has a very clear standpoint in connection with Afghanistan and still stands by it. There is no military solution to the Afghan problem. The Afghan parties will decide the future of their country. Unless the world pays attention to Afghanistan, more bloodshed will ensue,” Khan stressed.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time where Pakistani senior officials are pointing the finger on India. In an interview with TOLO News last month, Pakistan Foreign Minister Sha Mahmoud Qureshi accused India of carrying out terrorist activities.

“If they (India) used your (Afghan Journalist Lutfullah Najafizada) soil against us, it bothers me,” Qureshi said.

When the journalist asked how India uses Afghanistan soil against Pakistan, Qureshi replied, “By carrying out terrorist activities. You know, we have intelligence, we have information, we have shared that, and you know, we have a very famous person who is admitted to carrying out subversive activities, terrorist activities, in Pakistan, in Baluchistan.”

“What we know is that there are people in Afghanistan who have been attacking my country. There are outside forces who are using their presence in Afghanistan to undermine Pakistan,” Qureshi said.

“They (India) are funding and they are training and they are doing everything possible, but we’re not allying that to come between us. Despite all that, we want Afghanistan to be peaceful, stable, and prosperous.”

Recently, Khan donned his economist hat during a speech in the National Assembly. He compared the situations in India and China, and explained how the latter has become an ‘economic giant, a superpower’.
