INDIA: Sushant Singh, a versatile actor from Bollywood, an author, and a presenter. He has shown his mettle across genres for the characters ranging from ‘Pakiya’ in his debut film Satya to ‘Colonel Ranjeet Chaudhary’ in the latest web series ‘Jeet Ki Zid‘. The actor has proved that he is not just versatile but has the ability to step into the shoes of any character with ease.
His role of colonel in the web series ‘Jeet Ki Zid’ has received applauses from both mass viewers and critics. As the ruthless trainer of Major Senger (played by actor Amit Sadh) who ends up as his savior, Sushant was phenomenal. Talking to Transcontinental Times, he said, “The role was challenging to me as I have to take training from the ex-army man for this role. It was more mental than physical.”
Sushant’s ability to bring an extraordinary deftness to an ordinary character is something that separates him from other actors.
Making a debut in the Ram Gopal Verma’s Satya, the man from Bijnor has seen a lot of ups and downs in his acting career. When asked about the role that he enjoyed portraying the most, he said, “Undoubtedly the role of ‘Shukhdev’ in the movie The Legend of Bhagat Singh, is my favorite character. ‘Gajraj Singh’ in the movie Sehar is my second choice.”
Sushant has predominantly worked in the popular crime show ‘Savdhaan India’. When the ‘Savdhaan India’ team approached him, he was adamant that he would host the show in his style. The show started in 2012 on the TV channel ‘Life Ok’ and got instant popularity. “For seven years I had hosted the show, which is a kind of record in the television industry,” he said.

When asked about his favorite actors in the film industry, he unhesitantly said, “We all people, from my father’s generation to my generation, are always in grip of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. I understand the fine-tuning in acting skill from Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, and Pankaj Kapoor.“
Talking about his upcoming film, Good Luck Jerry, where he is playing a comic villain role, Sushant said, “It is a dark comedy.” Good Luck Jerry is produced by Anand L. Rai and directed by Sidharth Sengupta. Bollywood actress Jahnvi Kapoor is playing a protagonist in this film. Along with Sushant, Deepak Dobriyal, Neeraj Sood and Mita Vashisht will also be seen in the film. It will be an exhilarating experience to watch Sushant in a comedy role.
A post-graduate in English Literature, Sushant is well aware of the Big-Bang theory of the Universe. When asked about his status of Atheist in his Twitter handle, he told, “I simply believe in one cosmic energy in the Universe, the rest of other things are mere symbols.”
