UNITED STATES: YouTuber Logan Paul went eight rounds against one of the best boxers of this century Floyd Mayweather in a pay-per-view exhibition match. The two fought the boxing match on June 7 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. At the end, the eight round match ended with no result.
The boxing event started at 8:00 pm (IST) on June 6 and the main event between Mayweather and Paul started at 5:30 am (IST) on June 7. Before the start of the fight, Mayweather was a -700 betting favorite.
Right from the beginning, many people predicted that Logan was no match against the professional boxer. Boxing legend Mayweather has a record of 50 wins and no losses. When the fight was announced, the whole boxing fraternity was shocked. Earlier, Logan had lost a fight against YouTuber KSI.

Everyone was predicting that Mayweather was going to knock Logan Paul out in 2-3 rounds. However, Logan managed to take this fight to full distance and survived eight rounds against Mayweather.
Fans were not happy with the fight and many of them called it a “Hug fest”. However, they also appreciated Mayweather’s professionalism.
Talking to Transcontinental Times, Chris (anonymous) fan said, “Everyone has to consider that Logan was almost 40-50 pounds heavier than Mayweather during there fighting and not many fighters dare to fight someone with that much of weight difference regardless of what the opponents experience is.”
He also added that Mayweather looked a little slow during the boxing match. “We all can see in this fight that you can’t be young forever you can’t have that agility, strength, and fitness of a 25-year-old boy at 44 years of age.”
Meanwhile, many celebrities and fighters took to social media to comment about the fight.
In a tweet, Former MMA fighter, Daniel Cormier said, “Hats off to Logan Paul. He went 8 rounds with the greatest boxer ever. Not a good look for Floyd.”
UFC champion Francis Ngannou also reacted with a tweet, “It’s crazy to think that Logan Paul (0-1) just made $20M on a boxing exhibition. WHAT ARE WE DOING WRONG?”
Mocking the fight, MMA fighter Michael Chiesa tweeted, “And I thought my fights were boring.”
Logan’s brother Jake Paul tweeted, “50-1 … HOLY F… MY BROTHER JUST BEAT FLOYD MAYWEATHER”
44-year-old Mayweather reportedly netted US$50 million for the 24 minutes of work and Logan Paul was paid $250,000 guaranteed plus 10 percent of all pay-per-view sales.
