UNITED STATES: The 19-year-old Spaniard halts Daniil Medvedev’s winning spree in 19 consecutive matches by defeating him 6-3, 6-2, and also dethroning Novak Djokovic to reclaim the world No. 1 spot. Alcaraz is also the first to win Indian Wells without losing a set since Roger Federer in 2017. Interestingly, Alcaraz became the youngest man to win both Indian Wells and Miami.

Alcaraz started the game on a brilliant note and took the opening set in just 36 minutes, dropping only six points on serve. Alcaraz made a strong start in both sets to build an early advantage that secured his win without facing a break point. With this victory, Alcaraz became the ninth and youngest man in history to win both the Indian Wells and the Miami Open.
