AUSTRALIA. Sydney: In September 2015, all 193 Member States of the United Nations adopted a plan for achieving a better future for all laying out a path to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet. At the spirit of “Agenda 2030” are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which portray the world we want to apply to all nations and leaving no one behind.
On 3rd June 2020, President of eYs SDGs World Council – Jasmina Siderovski announced the global board directors and advisory board, which will focus on assessing and identifying the areas to develop and maximize sustainability and hold governments and organizations accountable toward the 2030 United Nations SDGs
The new Global Goals outcome from a process that has been more all-encompassing than ever, with Governments relating business, civil society, and citizens from the outset. We are all in agreement on where the world needs to go. Fulfilling these ambitions will take an extraordinary endeavor by all sectors in society — and humanity has to play a very important role.
“Working primarily in developing and transitional countries, we see the impact, both the negative impact of the changing environment and the growing inequality, but also the positive impact of the goals and how they are creating better opportunities for the local communities. We have to use this momentum and keep pushing towards achieving the goals, so we can create a better world for us all,” says Jasmina Siderovski, President of eYs SDGs World Council.
