INDIA. Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday conducted a raid at the residence of Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli located at Juhu in North West Mumbai, in connection with an alleged drugs case.

An eleven-member team landed at Bungalow No 10 at Vikas Park and questioned Armaan for nearly six hours. NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede subsequently joined the team. Armaan was later taken to the NCB office in South Mumbai for further questioning. The drugs in small quantity were stated to have been seized from his house during the search. He will now be questioned in the agency’s office.

Armaan was a contestant on “Bigg Boss 7” (an Indian reality television game show) and made headlines for his volatile temper as well as his relationship with co-contestant Tanishaa Mukerji. In June, he expressed his interest in being a guest on “Bigg Boss 15” and made requests to host Salman Khan. Beginning as a child artist, he has starred in several films such as Dushman Zamana (1992), Anaam (1993), Qahar (1997), and Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani (2002).

Armaan’s house was raided by the NCB as a part of the agency’s ongoing operation ‘Rolling Thunder’, a crackdown on the network of drug peddlers and suppliers in Mumbai. Under this operation, seven people have been arrested so far by the NCB in the last two days, including television actor Gaurav Dixit and two Nigerian nationals.

In a message to the “Transcontinental Times”, Wankhede stated that a detailed official statement will be issued on Sunday.

Last year, several celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh, were questioned by the NCB in connection with an investigation into Bollywood’s alleged drug links. The case was linked to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Armaan was caught in controversies earlier too. He had allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend Neeru Randhawa in 2018, who had to be admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri. The police had taken Armaan into custody on charges of domestic violence at that time.

Similarly subsequently a fashion designer Nadia Aheli had filed a complaint with Versova police against him for his disgraceful acts. She had filed an FIR against 3 people- Armaan, his friend Dilip Rajput and his servant Nitin. Armaan and Rajput had allegedly made some unreasonable demands. As per her complaint, Armaan and Rajput had taken Rs 50 lakh from her and refused to return the money. When she demanded money back, she was threatened and allegedly hurt her physically.
