Police Train 312 Civilian Joint Task Force Personnel

NIGERIA. Kaduna State: About 312 personnel of the Joint Task Force also known as Civilian JTF has received training and graduated from Police College, in Kaduna state.

The training of the Civilian JTF is coming as a result of the increased crime rate in the country and this will serve as support to the police force and other security agencies in curbing insecurity in the state.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, the Kaduna State Chairman of the security outfit, Shehu Dantudu, noted that the main reason behind the training of the Civilian JTF is to allow them to have the fundamental knowledge on how to tackle security related issues.

Dantudu also said that more of such intervention is underway to help in bursting the security architecture of the state.

“By November another set of the JTF is expected to pass out, so I will say, more of this is coming”, Dantudu said.

The training aims to support the government in reducing the rate of insecurity and challenges in society.

“The training was to augment and to also to motivate the government’s attempt in tackling insecurity across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna state.

“Therefore, if Civilian JTF arrests any suspect, it is for them to hand them over to the police personnel for investigation and proper action to achieve a crime-free society in terms of kidnapping and banditry activities.

“However, we must appreciate the efforts of the Inspector General of Police, the Commandant of the College, the Headmaster, and all those that help in actualizing this”, Dantudu added.

Also speaking, the Public Relations Officer of JTF in the state, Sanusi Surajo noted that the personnel are trained to help in fetching those with criminal tendencies in the society, especially the kidnappers and their informants to be brought to book.
