Students Protest Against The Cancellation of MPSC Exams In Pune

INDIA: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination that was scheduled on March 14 has been canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The state relief and rehabilitation department has issued a circular in this regard and said that it was reviewing the situation in various parts of the state.

Against this backdrop, thousands of students hit the streets in Pune, creating a tense atmosphere in many parts of Pune. Due to this, strict police security has been deployed in Pune. The students protested against the decision to cancel the MPSC exam as they think that the decision is completely ‘wrong’.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere in Pune is going downhill. Students studying in Pune for MPSC exams had reached their respective examination centers in different districts to be present on time. However, now there is huge resentment among the students over the cancellation of exams. If elections, Central Public Service Commission exams, and all other transactions can be done smoothly, then why can’t exams be held? Students are now raising such questions.

“It is wrong to postpone MPSC exams while all other exams are being held. The government should immediately change this decision. Exams cannot be postponed 3 days before the exams,” Maharashtra State Youth Congress president Satyajit Tambe said.
