INDIA: Finally, the wait is over. After multiple delays, the Brahmastra trailer arrives to set the screens on fire. The oversaturated colour-filled VFX that appears to serve as a visual feast, Amitabh Bachchan’s deep voice-over, and the powerful BGM, encompasses the recipe of Ayan Mukerji’s magnum opus.

The film adds to the beginning of a new cinematic universe known as Astraverse

The plot of Brahmastra revolves around Shiva, a DJ, who is a fire wielder. The narrative functions as a typical tale by following the blossoming romance between him and Isha. On the other hand, some sinister powers will embark on a mission to harness the power of Brahmastra.

The film is the first instalment in a trilogy that chronicles Shiva’s journey across the Astraverse. It will introduce Shiva as the forthcoming superhero.

The cast of Brahmastra incorporates a range of well-known Indian actors. Ranbir Kapoor plays the lead as Shiva. As Isha, Alia Bhatt adds to the blossoming romance, and who knows, she might even have some type of power. Amitabh Bachchan serves in the role of Raghu, a mentor figure to Shiva who will help him reach his true potential. The film also has Nagarjuna Akkineni as Anish and Mouni Roy as Junoon.

Brahmastra can be termed as the vision of Ayan Mukerji. The story is, of course, pitched by him under the production banner of Dharma Productions. Made on a budget of ₹ 300 crores, the film took almost eight years to wrap up and is finally arriving on the big screen on September 9, 2022.

The trailer commences with Amitabh Bachchan’s voice-over, which emphasizes the gravity of the storyline, where we have references to Water, Wind, and Fire elements.

The enigmatic character walking is hinted at by the sea waves, yet the identity of the character is kept hidden, possibly hinting at the Deepika Padukone cameo appearance speculations. More intriguingly, we encounter Nagarjun’s persona Anish shattering the truck with his powers.

Later in the clip, we see Ranbir Kapoor as Shiva, with his identity hinted at as DJ. The trailer introduces each individual one by one, with clear glimpses of Raghu leading to the establishment of a mysterious group, present since ancient times, which includes their purpose of conserving power for the greater good. On the other hand, Junoon appears to be assembling her army of darkness, which is obviously for the Brahmastra’s pursuit.

In the trailer, Ayan portrayed Mouni as a villain, yet this may be interpreted as deceptive. The primary antagonist will be someone else; nevertheless, rumours suggest that Sharukh Khan would be Ranbir’s arch-rival. If this theory proves to be correct, it will be a thrilling conclusion.
