FINLAND: The Nokia T21, a brand-new tablet from Nokia, has been presented by HMD Global. The new tablet somewhat enhances the T20 tablet that was released last year. The tablet boasts a chic appearance and respectable technical specs.

The Nokia T21 specifications

Its main technical features are the Nokia T21’s robust aluminium chassis and 60% recycled plastic antenna cover. The tablet features a 10.36-inch IPS LCD screen with 2000 × 1200 pixel resolution and 400 nits of brightness. The protective casing for the display is made of toughened glass.

The T21 is powered by the UNISOC T612 Octa-core processor and Mali-G57 GPU. 64GB and 128GB of storage are available, and the processor is paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. Via a microSD card, the storage may be increased to 512GB.

For the tablet, which uses the Android 12 operating system, the manufacturer pledges to deliver two years of Android upgrades and up to three years of monthly security updates. Onboard features include stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack, and NFC functionality.

The Nokia T21 Pricing and More

Both Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE versions of the Nokia T21 tablet are available. There is only the colour option of Charcoal Grey to choose from. 239 EUR ($239) is the starting price. The slate will only be sold in a small number of foreign markets.

HMD’s Nokia has continued to release functional but unimpressive smartphones for the past few years. Instead of making an effort to compete head-to-head with companies like Samsung and Apple, it has instead found success in the release of reliable mid-range and entry-level smartphones, wireless headphones, and even tablets. A new subscription plan has just been unveiled, which the company claims would “reward users” for keeping their phones longer.

The focus of its new Circular subscription, which will debut in the UK and Germany first, is sustainability and the environment. There will also be four new gadgets, including what HMD describes as its most environmentally friendly smartphone to date. The Nokia X30 contains 65% recycled plastic and is built of 100% recycled aluminum for the device’s frame and speaker grills.
