The Canadian Department of National Defence told the media that a technical issue with the RCAF CC-150 Polaris, the aircraft used by the Canadian prime minister, has been resolved, and the aircraft is now safe to fly. They confirmed the issue, stating that a replacement component will be required.

The RCAF has announced that a replacement aircraft is being deployed to India to bring back Trudeau, who has experienced travel problems before. The Defence Department has emphasized the importance of pre-flight safety inspections in all flight operations.

According to reports, the problem was resolved by a technician deployed by the RCAF to India. The CC-150 Polaris plane is a component of an older fleet that has frequently encountered problems and is scheduled to be replaced, it was added.

It’s not the first time Trudeau has experienced problems while travelling by plane. In 2019, the wing of a jet chartered to take him on the campaign trail collided with a plane carrying journalists. He wasn’t travelling in the plane at the time.

Indian PM Narendra Modi expressed worries to Trudeau about the ongoing anti-Indian activities of extreme groups in Canada during their meeting on Sunday, claiming they were encouraging secessionism and instigating violence.

According to Trudeau’s office, the Canadian prime minister stressed the value of respecting democratic values, the rule of law, and national sovereignty.

Later, at a press conference, Trudeau said that he and Modi had also spoken about foreign interference in Canadian affairs. Canada is looking into China, Russia, and India as part of a broad inquiry into electoral meddling.
