Kolkata’s Shlok Mukherjee Wins the Doodle for Google 2022 India

INDIA: The Doodle For Google 2022 competition was conducted by tech giant Google across the world. The winner of the contest in India is Shlok Mukherjee from Kolkata. Mukherjee won the contest for creating a doodle titled “India on the center stage.” Shlok’s Doodle will be displayed on Google.co.in on November 14.

Shlok submitted his drawing and wrote, “In the next 25 years, scientists in my nation, India, will build their own eco-friendly robot for the benefit of all people. India will frequently leave Earth and journey between the stars. India will strengthen and continue to grow in the domains of yoga and Ayurveda in the coming years.”

Students in grades 1 through 10 from more than 100 cities in India submitted over 115,000 entries to the competition this year.

Along with the Google Doodle team, the judging panel also comprised actor, filmmaker, producer, and TV personality Neena Gupta, editor-in-chief at Tinkle Comics Kuriakose Vaisian, YouTube Creators Slayypoint, and businesswoman Alika Bhatk.

“Congratulations to Shlok, the Group finalists, and winners! And thanks to everyone who this year submitted their fantastic contributions. The Doodle for Google competition strives to foster young people’s curiosity and creativity, and the incredible talent present always moves us across. Keep drawing and sharing your drawings with us in the upcoming competition”, said Sapna Chadha, vice president of marketing for Google India and Southeast Asia.

They were entrusted with working together to choose 20 finalists from throughout the nation by evaluating entries according to their aesthetic quality, originality, conformity to the contest’s topic, and innovation and originality of method.

Online voting for the 20 finalists’ doodles was available. Along with the overall victor, four group champions were also selected. The Doodle for Google competition aims to encourage young people’s creativity and ingenuity.
