INDIA: In a recent update, an 18-years old girl was allegedly kidnapped in Telangana by a group of men in front of her father. The whole incident was captured on CCTV and is widely spread all over the internet.
The case happened in Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district at around 5:30 am when the father-daughter duo was returning to their home after visiting a temple. The Telangana state police complained about the crime and started their investigation on the same.
However, the girl later surfaced a video on social media confirming that she planned the whole kidnapping as her parents are against her marriage to a Dalit man.
She said, “We tied the knot a year ago. My parents did not accept it because I was a juvenile at the time, and they filed a lawsuit against my spouse. Now that we are grownups, we’re married. They continue to object because my husband is a Dalit.”
Meanwhile, TelanganaSP Sircilla Rahul Hegde issued a statement indicating that the girl and her partner voluntarily eloped and were married in a temple.
However, the victim’s father resigned a complaint against the gang as they came into combat with him before his daughter’s kidnapping, and one accused from the gang is from the same village.
Thus, according to Vemulawada DSP, Nagendra Chary said, “A case has been filed, and we are making every attempt to locate them. There are four participants in the incident. The girl had already eloped with her boyfriend. Now that she is an adult, he (her lover) may have abducted her. Three squads were prepared to capture them.”
Reportedly, this is not the first time the teen has done this, but earlier, she ran away with her boyfriend, and the local police brought her back to her parents.
