The Indian Air Force (IAF) Holds Flypast over The Western Coast

As per the reports, the "Suryakiran Aerobatic Team" will be undertaking flypasts all over India in different phases

INDIA. Mumbai: As part of the “Swarnim Vijay Varsh” (Golden Jubilee of India’s victory in 1971 war against Pakistan) the “Suryakiran Aerobatic Team” of the Indian Air Force (IAF), held a low flypast in Mumbai, Pune, and Goa on Monday.

The aircraft started from Pune at 3.35 pm and did a flypast at Gateway of India, Worli Promenade, and Andheri between 3.40 pm and 3.50 pm in Mumbai. Afterward, they did a flypast at Goa between 4.25 pm and 4.35 pm and finally reached Bidar in Karnataka at 5.40 pm.

Suryakiran Aerobatic Team

As per the reports, the “Suryakiran Aerobatic Team” will be undertaking flypasts all over India in different phases. Formation aerobatics is the pinnacle of aviation skills, and the formation of the aerobatic unit of the IAF – The Suryakiran Aerobatic Team, is popularly known as the Ambassadors of the IAF. The team comprises 17 officers, 200 technicians, and packs a powerful punch.

Suryakiran Aerobatic Team was formed in the year 1996 and has been personifying the motto of the Indian Air Force “Touch the sky with glory” ever since. The team which has grown into a global phenomenon has the distinction of being amongst a handful of 9 aircraft formation Aerobatic teams in the world. The team’s motto is “Always the Best”.

Most professional Air Forces have a Formation Aerobatic unit which undertakes the extremely challenging role of doing aerobatic maneuvers close to the ground, in large formations, to not only showcase their capabilities but also to motivate the youth to join the esteemed defense services.
