The training will start at the ward levels to teach how mothers will adopt the use of Mid-Upper Arm Circumstance (MUAC) tape, to discover malnourishment in children at an early stage.

“This programme is funded by the United Kingdom Agency for International Development (UKAid) through UNICEF Nigeria, and would be carried out by Adamawa state PHCDA, across its 21 local government areas”, Ladu added.

Ladu noted that the main purpose of the event was to support women and caregivers, households, and communities in taking care of their children’s health, and also to know their nutrition status, early detection, and treatment of critical malnutrition.

This will be another way to support Mass-MUAC exercise and to beat down the process by community nutrition groups.
