The link between politics and journalism

Shaukat Yousafzai, Minister of Labour & Culture, was also present at the event. While addressing the women he said, “Politics and journalism are important for each other. They are like the two sides of a coin. However, terrorism and extremism have badly affected journalism and the democratic environment. They also have devastating effects on politics and journalism.” He believes that media shouldn’t target the national security agencies or political parties under the disguise of freedom of expression. According to him, political parties and journalists should work together for the country.
