INDIA: Actress Nayanthara and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan have tied the knot. Shah Rukh Khan, Atlee, Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar, Boney Kapoor, and Vijay Sethupathi were guests during the couple’s private wedding ceremony on June 9.

The celebrity power couple wedded in a traditional South Indian wedding ceremony at a five-star hotel in Mahabalipuram. Vignesh and Nayanthara both posted the first photo from their wedding, in which the bride and groom appear to be nothing short of heavenly.

Nayanthara fans have been showering their favourite star pair with congratulations on social media since Vignesh Shivan announced the wedding. 

While Nayanthara and Vignesh have been tight-lipped regarding their wedding guest list and ceremony, sources close to the couple have revealed that they have invited some of the Tamil industry’s biggest names.

Vignesh Shivan said at a news conference on June 7 that the wedding was originally scheduled for Tirupati but had to be moved to Mahabalipuram due to scheduling conflicts.

“Initially, both of us intended to get married at Tirupati,” the filmmaker told the reporters.

“Due to logistical concerns, we had to shift the location from Tirupati. 

We intended to invite our friends and family members, but we won’t be able to accommodate everyone.”

“As a result, we must determine whether or not to marry here at Mahabalipuram.”
