“IndiGo flight 6E-1406, operating from Sharjah to Hyderabad was diverted to Karachi. The pilot observed a technical defect. Necessary procedures were followed and as a precaution, the aircraft was diverted to Karachi. According to official sources, the IndiGo Airbus made the precautionary landing as a result of a system issue being discovered in Engine 2, the aircraft’s right engine.

In the last two weeks, Karachi has seen an unplanned landing by an Indian aircraft twice.

Due to a broken fuel indicator light in the cockpit, a SpiceJet flight bound for Dubai from Delhi was diverted to the Pakistani city earlier this month.
