Anurag Kashyap praised Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan
Anurag Kashyap, during his recent interview with the media, hailed the film. He said, “People are returning to the theatre and dancing on screen as they do so. Concerning the movie, many are ecstatic.
“There is bliss, and it is a lovely euphoria. This feeling of joy was absent. This exhilaration is also sociopolitical; it is the equivalent of making a statement,” he added further.
Adding stress to his words, Anurag Kashyap complimenting King Khan said, “The person who has maintained his silence throughout everything and has the strongest spine, greatest tenacity, and integrity has spoken.”
“He has communicated with his work onscreen. It is lovely. On the screen, he spoke loudly. I am aware of his advice to “Speak with your work, and don’t talk needlessly.” You can see why he is who he is,” Kashyap concluded.
Talking about Pathaan, SRK’s latest Bollywood feature has faced a lot of controversies ever since the release of the first song and the film underwent many cuts. However, the movie came out with flying colours. The spy action feature hit theatres on January 25, and it is receiving good responses around the globe.
SRK’s Pathaan bagged ₹429 crore worldwide and currently embarked on a successive box office run. The film’s opening day collection surpassed Hindi collections of blockbuster movies like KGF 2 and Bahubali 2, earning ₹57 crores on its first day of release in India.
Bollywood’s dry spell at the box office seems to be dwindling as the movies are back with a bang in making numbers.
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan has two big releases lined up for this year. One is Jawan alongside Nayanthara, and another one is Dunki opposite Taapsee Pannu.
