UNITED STATES: Apple has opted to offer water bottles following a cleaning/polishing cloth. No, it’s not named Hydrate, even though it should be. Apple sells two smart water bottles available on the company’s website and at retail outlets.
These bottles are not manufactured by Apple but rather by a business named HidrateSpark. These bottles are also not yet available in India. There are two bottles available: HidrateSpark Pro and HidrateSpark Pro STEEL. The former costs $59.95 (about Rs 4,591.63) and the latter costs $79.95. (Rs 6,123.45 approx).
The HidrateSpark water bottles detect users’ water consumption and upload the data to the Apple Health app.
The HidrateSpark Pro STEEL comes in two colors: silver and black. It’s a vacuum-insulated bottle that contains 32 ounces of liquid and comes with two caps.
One lid allows you to gulp from the bottle, while another accepts a straw. An LED puck at the bottom of the HidrateSpark Pro STEEL also tracks water consumption and sends the data to the Apple Health app over Bluetooth.
The bottle can keep liquids chilled for 24 hours and is BPA-free and dishwasher safe. On the other hand, the LED puck cannot be washed and must be wiped with a moist towel.
The HidrateSpark Pro comes in green and black and is composed of shatter-resistant and odor-proof Tritan plastic. It also has the same LED puck as the HidrateSpark Pro STEEL and two types of covers.
Apple also sells certain earlier HidrateSpark bottles on its websites, such as the HidrateSpark STEEL and the HidrateSpark 3. The HidrateSpark STEEL costs $70 (about Rs 5,361.37), while the HidrateSpark 3 costs $60. (Rs 4,595.46 approx).
If you think paying Rs 4,000 or more for a water bottle is excessive, consider that Apple’s polishing cloth costs Rs 1,900.
