Aptech and Orbit Future Academy Partner at Indonesia Economic Forum to Support Digital Skills Growth

India-Indonesia collaboration aims to enhance digital and creative economy through vocational training and innovation-driven education initiatives

INDONESIA: At the Indonesia Economic Forum – Technology Forum, Aptech Ltd., a global vocational education provider, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Orbit Future Academy, an Indonesian education and innovation organization. The agreement marks a step forward in India-Indonesia cooperation on skill development and aims to support Indonesia’s growing digital and creative economy.

Held at the Nusantara Room of Indonesia’s Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry (BKPM), the event brought together government officials, policy analysts, and industry leaders under the theme “The Innovation Edge: India-Indonesia Collaboration for a Future-Ready Economy.”

The MoU was formally signed by Kallol Mukherjee, Executive Vice President and Head of International Business at Aptech, and Nalin K. Singh, CEO of Orbit Future Academy. The partnership is set to deliver vocational training programs in areas such as digital design, animation, game development, and digital content creation to over 200 Indonesian universities.

The curriculum is expected to align with Indonesia’s National Competency Framework (SKKNI) and meet international education standards. The initiative includes blended learning approaches, technology-integrated teaching methods, and plans for Creative Education Labs (EduLabs) to serve as local innovation hubs.

Orbit Future Academy, inspired by the legacy of former Indonesian President B.J. Habibie, has played a key role in upskilling youth across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. The new partnership combines Orbit’s local reach with Aptech’s global training expertise.

Speaking at the event, Singh expressed optimism about the collaboration’s impact on student readiness for emerging career paths. Mukherjee highlighted the potential for the partnership to contribute to Indonesia’s creative and media sectors by fostering a digitally skilled workforce.

The event featured remarks from Indonesia Economic Forum CEO Sachin Gopalan and keynote speaker Minister of Investment and Downstreaming H.E. Rosan Roeslani. It concluded with a panel on bilateral innovation and a networking session among stakeholders.

The partnership reflects ongoing efforts by both nations to strengthen educational cooperation and promote innovation as a foundation for economic resilience.
