INDIA: The intense trailer of Bheed, starring Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, is officially out. The Anubhav Sinha-directed movie is based upon the incident that occurred during the 2020 COVID lockdown and brings back the horrific memories of the darkest days.
The Bheed trailer is made with a monochrome effect, reflecting the seriousness of the mood. The beginning of the movie trailer includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s voice, announcing a lockdown in the country.
The remarkable dialogues of the Newton actor draw the viewer’s attention. Rajkumar Rao plays the role of a responsible cop who resists watching the common people suffer through so much pain.
Bheed somehow depicts the Indo-Pak partition scenes; thus, the teaser of the movie has already triggered controversy. Amid the heated contention, Bhushan Kumar backed away from the film.
The hard-hitting dialogue in the trailer of Bheed sets the tone of every scene. The clip features Rajkumar Rao saying, “Justice is always in the hands of the powerful. If the powerless served justice, justice would be different.” The film also has versatile actors like Pankaj Kapur, Ashutosh Rana, Dia Mirza, and Kritika Kamra.
The headstrong character of Bhumi Pednekar showcased the problems faced by the women belonging to the lower middle class or migrant workers who used newspapers instead of sanitary napkins.
The entire lockdown phase brought India into a state of misery as migrants and workers became jobless overnight.
They spent nights walking in the streets with their families, covering major distances by walking barefooted. This dark instance saw several deaths just due to the unavailability of food and proper health care.
Bheed trailer encapsulate all the instances of COVID lockdown. More insights on the film’s story and characters will uncover with its release on March 24, 2023.
