Earlier, Shahid Kapoor shared the first look poster of the film, and netizens went crazy over the first appearance of the much-awaited action thriller.
Kapoor’s face is shot in a close-up with a bruise on his nose, giving the Kabir Singh character vibes. He is visualized in a white shirt and black blazer. Blood stains can also be spotted on his shirt collar, affirming the violent persona of his character.
The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial Bloody Daddy received a violently action-packed teaser. The clip features Shahid Kapoor, Diana Penty, Rajeev Khandelwal and Ronit Roy in pivotal roles.
The video provides a quick glimpse of action sequences performed by Shahid. His character is set on a mission to save his son from the mafia. On his journey, it appears violence is the only way to navigate towards his goals. To spice up things, guns and booms with a touch of blood are added in the teaser.
Recently, Shahid took the OTT platform by storm with his latest debut series Farzi. Now, Bloody Daddy will have a direct-to-digital release and will be directly available on the digital platform. The film is an Indian adaptation of the Tomer Sisley starrer 2011 French film Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Nights).
However, Bloody Daddy slightly differs from the French version while retaining its Indian setting. The film will showcase Shahid Kapoor as a loving father who must go to any extent to protect his child from the mafia in the action thriller.
In an earlier interview, the director revealed, “Shahid Kapoor’s performance as the movie’s main character spans the full nightlong plot.”
He added, “It is packaged and advertised as a brand-new movie. The idea that Shahid will be seen by the public in a pure action genre for the first time is what excites me the most. It’s a great modern action movie. Although it has a lovely story, it is a commercial potboiler.”
On the other hand, Ronit Roy talked about the movie, saying, “I was excited to shoot this, and I’m even more excited for you guys to see it now. I’m incredibly thrilled to have worked with one of the best filmmakers I’ve ever worked with and some of the best actors in the industry. Definitely edgy! One of the best of my career, most likely.”
