INDIA: From Uddhav Thackrey’s resignation to the appointment of Eknath Shinde, Bollywood celebs shared their opinions on social media. Over the past few weeks, Maharashtra has become a popular topic of discussion. The political game-playing was nothing less than a story device from Game of Thrones.
Bollywood stars like Kangana Ranaut and Riteish Deshmukh congratulated Eknath Shinde on becoming the new chief minister of Maharashtra. Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri also expressed good wishes on social media.
While some celebrities also reacted to Uddhav Thackeray’s resignation as the former chief minister of Maharashtra. Numerous celebs, including Prakash Raj, Riteish Deshmukh, and Swara Bhasker, responded to the resignation of the former chief minister and offered him gratitude for his work.
Kangana Ranaut, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vivek Agnihotri expressed their views
Kangana Ranaut welcomed the new CM and described his journey as inspirational after posting a picture of him on her Instagram story. The caption read, “What an inspiring success story…From driving autorickshaw for a living to becoming one of the most important and powerful people in the country…congratulations sir.”
The famed Manikarnika actress also responded to Uddhav Thackeray’s resignation. A video was uploaded to her Instagram, where she quoted, “I stated in 2020 that democracy is a faith structure. Those who demolish this faith structure in the name of authority are doomed. Their arrogance will be shattered. This reveals a person’s demeanour.”
Through his Twitter account, Vivek Agnihotri also welcomed the new CM. The renowned director of Kashmir Files wrote, “Congratulations @mieknathshinde Congratulations @Dev_Fadnavis for your dynamic leadership. At least, now we can live without fear. #JaiMaharashtra”
Riteish Deshmukh also congratulated Eknath Shinde on his social media account. The tweet read, “Heartiest Congratulations to Shri @mieknathshinde Ji on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra- Best Wishes, Sir.”
In addition, the actor tweeted in response to Uddhav Thackeray’s resignation. The tweet read, “A big thank you to Shri #UddhavThackeray Ji for being progressive, proactive, and caring Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Thank you for guiding & communicating with us citizens during the most difficult and dark times that humanity has ever faced -the covid pandemic. @OfficeofUT”
Prakash Raj and Swara Bhasker bid adieu to Uddhav Thackeray
Several celebrities, including actor Prakash Raj, praised Uddhav Thackeray for his earlier work. The actor took to his Twitter account and tweeted, “You did great dear sir @OfficeofUT…and I’m sure people of Maharashtra will stand by you for the way you handled the state.. the Chanakya s may eat laddoos today.. but your genuinity will linger longer .. more power to you.. #justasking”
Swara Bhasker also tweeted, “Thank you for your leadership @OfficeofUT U were unbiased & a responsible Leader of the State, transparent, communicative & assuring during COVID-19 crisis. Ur conduct turned critics like me into admirers. Work of Maha adm under u has been laudable. Go long & go strong.”
