SOUTH KOREA: Korean boy band Bangtan Sonyeondan (Bangtan Boys) commonly known as BTS has released its second English-language single, “Butter,” on Friday. Group leader RM believes that the upbeat dance-pop track would be the “summer song for 2021”. The song that was released five hours ago has surpassed 45 million views on YouTube.

On Friday, BTS held a press conference in Seoul. During the conference, BTS member Suga said, “We hope that you can really have fun listening to this song. [As for] No. 1 on Billboard, I think we can do it.”

According to the reports, BTS will unveil their debut TV performance of “Butter” on Sunday at the Billboard Music Awards. At the Billboard Music Awards, BTS is nominated for four awards at the event: top/duo group, top song sales artist, top social artist, and top-selling song for “Dynamite”.

The new single looks to follow up on the enormous success of BTS’s previous foray into all-English content, last year’s “Dynamite.” Dynamite became the first track by an all-South Korean group to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
