INDIA: Following the announcement of the NEET 2022 results, KEA will reveal the total admissions calendar for the Karnataka MBBS program.

NEET, the medical entrance exam, was held in July to determine admission for undergraduate programmes.

The NTA will announce the results before releasing the dates for NEET 2022 counselling.

The medical counselling for MBBS admission in Karnataka is handled by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), Bangalore. The state will offer online counselling for NEETs.

Only applicants who have passed the NEET UG and meet the state domicile requirements may register for the Karnataka MBBS admission 2022 at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.

Karnataka MBBS admission procedure

Candidates would be required to submit their preferred courses and colleges for admission to Karnataka NEET 2022 during the counselling process.

The entire admissions procedure is detailed here:

  • Students who wish to apply for admission to the Karnataka MBBS programme must submit an online application and go through a document verification process.
  • Based on registration, the Karnataka MBBS merit list will be made public for eligible candidates.
  • The Karnataka MBBS counselling for 85% state quota and 100% private college seats will be performed based on the state merit list.
  • Candidates would be required to submit their preferred courses and colleges for admission to Karnataka NEET 2022 during the counselling process.

The Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling will be used to administer admissions for 100% of private colleges and the 85% state quota. Admission will be given for a total of 10,145 MBBS seats and 3,445 BDS seats through the counselling process.
