More on Rajamouli’s next and Hemsworth’s Extraction

Talking about SS Rajamouli’s next film, reports have surfaced that it will feature Superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead, and the working title for the film is SSMB 29. The globe-trotting actioner, with a touch of Indian Jones vibes, will feature the Tollywood actor in a role inspired by Bhagwan Hanuman ji, according to media reports.

If this isn’t enough to build up the hype, there are also reports about Hemsworth making a special appearence in SSMB 29. The report earlier lacked gravity but the Thor actor’s comment on the RRR fuels the speculation.

Coming back to Hemsworth’s film lineup, the Thor actor’s Extraction (2020) debuted in COVID lockdown. On its arrival on Netflix, the Sam Hargrave-directed movie gained the mantle of the most-viewed film on the platform with a whopping 99 million views in the pocket.

The film bagged mixed reviews from critics, but the audience showered their love on the featurette for its well-choreographed action sequences with camera wizardry of single-take shots.

Hemsworth’s action film helped Netflix hit the jackpot, which led the streaming behemoth to green-lit the second movie.

Recently, Extraction 2 bagged new character posters levelling up the hype, though the catalyst was poured earlier with the trailer release. The signature camera work and cinematography were visible in the clip that promises the makers have been cooking something unique for action lovers.

Chris Hemsworth’s Extraction 2 will hit Netflix on June 16, 2023.
