‘Dhoomam’ First Look: Smoky Poster of Fahadh Faasil’s Film Sparks Curiosity

INDIA: The much-awaited Malayalam film Dhoomam has become the talk of the town since the announcement. All the credit for the anticipation and hype factor goes to the gem of a team-up between highly talented Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil, visionary Kannada director Pawan Kumar and box office hit machine Hombale Films.

Now, Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming feature bagged a new update elevating fan excitement. The makers have unveiled the first look of Dhoomam. The poster made people scratch their heads out of curiosity, as it gives everyone the uptime thriller vibes.

The curiosity-triggering poster features Faasil with a suspenseful look. It showcases the Malayalam star with a scar on his face and tapes on his mouth, dropping major suspense. If we look closely, we can spot a few scenes from the movie which pique our interest in the story.

Talking about the colour grading of the poster, it is edited with the signature style of Hombale Films with a fusion of grey and gold shade. The whole elements depicted in the visual set the tone of the feature.

Lucia fame director Pawan Kumar is the man in the director’s chair. As per reports, Dhoomam is based on a script penned by Kumar, labelled as C10H14N2 (Nicotine’s chemical formula).

The film stars Fahadh Faasil and Aparna Balamurali in lead roles. Makers of KGF and Kantara, Hombale Films bankrolled the project. This movie marks the first Malayalam production by Hombale Films.

Dhoomam is a suspenseful thriller that will be released primality in Malayalam which will be further dubbed in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. Moreover, the actor-filmmaker is currently packed with dates, with the pre-production of his next directorial, Empuraan. 

Talking about the production of Dhoomam, National Award-winners Anees Nadodi will handle the Production Design, and Poornima Ramaswamy will manage the Costume Design for the project.

Previously, Hombale Films promised to focus on providing viewers with an immersive cinematic experience. The statement read, “As we embark into the new year, we promise to produce compelling content with an immersive experience that can have a lasting memory and can leave an indelible impression upon you. With this interest in mind, we pledge to invest Rs 3,000 crore in the coming five years for sustainable growth in the entertainment sector.”

As the official announcement is made, the production house is back to fulfil all the promises.
