INDIA: The trailer for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie, ‘Dunki’, has been released. Helmed by the renowned Rajkumar Hirani, the teaser hints at a captivating fusion of narrative, star charisma, and soul-stirring music.

Sharing the drop, SRK penned, “A story of simple and real people trying to fulfill their dreams and desires. Of friendship, love, and being together… Of being in a relationship called Home! A heartwarming story by a heartwarming storyteller. It’s an honour to be a part of this journey and I hope you all come along with us. The #DunkiDrop1 is here…”

Dunki also stars Taapsee Pannu as the lead actress alongside Shah Rukh Khan, with Vicky Kaushal also making an appearance in the film. It appears that the movie is set in Punjab, where young individuals aspire to migrate abroad in pursuit of a brighter future.

The teaser opens with a group of black-clad men and women traversing a desert with a mark on their backs from a sharpshooter. The clip later showcase us to flashback when it all began with a group of friends from Punjab who want to work and eventually move to London.

Among them are Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, and two more pals of Shah Rukh Khan. Hardy, a character portrayed by Shah Rukh, swears to help his buddies get to London by any means necessary.

Shah Rukh Khan dropped the Dunki Drop 1 on his 58th birthday. The teaser offers a glimpse of supporting actors, one of whom is portrayed by Boman Irani. The teaser also hints at an upcoming second installment.

Dunki is a collaborative effort of Red Chillies Entertainment, Rajkumar Hirani Films, and Jio Studios. The Bollywood feature is scheduled to be released in Indian theatres on December 22.

Dunki will face off against Prashant Neel’s ‘Salaar: Part 1: Ceasefire’ at the box office, which stars Prabhas in the leading role.
