INDIA: The new visual of Anupam Kher from the upcoming movie Emergency is released. The renowned star of Kashmir Files is prepared to take on the role of Jayaprakash Narayan.
Kangana Ranaut recently launched the glimpse for her next film, Emergency, in which she represents former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. She also shared the behind-the-scenes footage from the first look video.
“Emergency” is a forthcoming film based on actual incidents that occurred in 1975. The Kangana Ranaut-led film depicts events that unfolded under the leadership of Mrs Indira Gandhi, one of India’s most powerful women in history.

On Friday, Kangana unveiled the poster of Anupam Kher on her Instagram handle. The caption read, “If there is darkness, there is light; if there is Indira, there is Jayaprakash. Presenting @anupampkher as the people’s hero, Lok Nayak Jayaprakash Narayan. #Emergency.”
Anupam Kher also revealed his new look on his Twitter handle. The tweet read, “BIG: Happy and proud to essay the role of the man who questioned fearlessly, a rebel in the truest sense of the word, #JayaPrakashNarayan in #KanganaRanaut starrer and directorial next #Emergency. My 527th! Jai Ho! ?? #JP #Loknayak.”
The Kashmir Files famed star looks brilliant in the poster. The visuals are anticipated to be a calming phenomenon due to the stunning colour tone used in the feature. The first glimpse features the Dhaakad star in the character of the former Prime Minister, where she is totally unrecognizable. Kangana’s incredible transformation is entirely due to Oscar winner David Malinowski. The Academy Award winner has previously worked on films such as The Batman (2022), The Darkest Hour (2017), and World War Z (2013).
Kangana adds her directorial vision to the film while starring herself in the lead, which is set to be produced by her production company, Manikarnika Films. The Bollywood actress also penned down the story, while Ritesh Shah provided the screenplay and dialogues.
In addition to Emergency, Anupam Kher will play the pivotal role in the Chandoo Mondeti directorial Telugu film, Karthikeya 2. The actor recently finished the filming of Amitabh Bachchan starrer Uunchai.
