INDIA: Shreyas Talpade landed a role in Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency alongside Anupam Kher. The Dhakkad actress unveiled a poster depicting the famous Marathi actor as former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Kangana Ranaut recently launched the glimpse for her next film, Emergency, in which she represents former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. She also shared the behind-the-scenes footage from the first look video.
“Emergency” is a forthcoming film based on actual incidents that occurred in 1975. The Kangana Ranaut-led film depicts events that unfolded under the leadership of Mrs Indira Gandhi, one of India’s most powerful women in history.

Kangana Ranaut unveiled the new poster for her forthcoming film, Emergency, on her Instagram account on Wednesday. The caption read, “Presenting @shreyastalpade27 as Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee in #Emergency, a true nationalist whose love and pride for the nation was unparalleled and who was a young upcoming leader during the time of Emergency….”
The newly released images confirm the inclusion of prominent star Shreyas Talpade in the film’s ensemble cast. The talented actor tweeted the poster on his Twitter handle, quoting, “Honoured & Happy to play one of the most Loved, Visionary, a true patriot & Man of the masses…Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. I hope I live up to the expectations. It’s time for #Emergency! Ganpati Bappa Morya.”
Anupam Kher recently joined the cast of the film as Jayaprakash Narayan. Shreyas’ inclusion in the film confirms that the film will contain a brilliant star cast, improving the story’s overall performance. Furthermore, the colour tone of all of the posters exhibited thus far is fantastic.
Kangana adds her directorial vision to the film while starring herself in the lead, which is set to be produced by her production company, Manikarnika Films. The Bollywood actress also penned down the story, while Ritesh Shah provided the screenplay and dialogues.
Shreyas Talpade most recently appeared in Hotstar’s Kaun Pravin Tambe?, a biographical sports drama film based on the life of an Indian cricketer. Shreyas is now starring in the Marathi television series Mazhi Tuzhi Reshimgath.
