INDIA: Honor, the renowned Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is making an electrifying comeback to the Indian smartphone arena. With teasers and hints, the anticipation surrounding the launch of Honor’s latest product is reaching fever pitch.

A series of posts on Honor’s HONORTechIndia Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) profiles have set the rumor mill in motion, while the establishment of a telegram channel under the name “HONOR TECH” and the unveiling of upcoming fan contests only add to the excitement.

The return of Honor to the Indian market was further confirmed by Madhav Sheth, the former CEO of Realme, who recently shared a post on ‘X’, revealing that Honor is all set to launch its new smartphones in India.

“Exciting News Alert! Honor Smartphones will be launched soon in India. Join us on this incredible journey as we empower the future with Honor Tech. #FeelTheFreedom #FeelTheHonor #TechForIndians,” Sheth’s post read.

This revelation has led to speculations that the upcoming launch could feature the much-anticipated Honor 90 smartphone series, which has already made waves in the Chinese market.

The Honor 90 series is composed of two remarkable smartphones – the Honor 90 and the Honor 90 Pro. These devices have already garnered attention and praise for their cutting-edge features and stellar performance in China, and it’s now India’s turn to experience their brilliance.

Both the Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro boast striking OLED displays. The Honor 90 flaunts a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a pixel resolution of 2664×1200.

The Honor 90 Pro, on the other hand, elevates the visual experience with a larger 6.78-inch FHD+ OLED display that boasts an impressive 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring buttery-smooth visuals.

Under the hood, these smartphones are fueled by the Android 13 operating system, enveloped in the brand’s unique MagicOS 7.1 layer.

The memory options are equally impressive, offering configurations with up to a whopping 16GB of RAM and a maximum internal storage capacity of 512GB, ensuring ample space for apps, media, and more.

Performance-wise, the Honor 90 relies on the formidable octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, while the Honor 90 Pro takes it up a notch with the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

These processors are poised to deliver exceptional performance, capable of handling multitasking, gaming, and more with finesse.

The camera setups on the Honor 90 series are nothing short of extraordinary. The Honor 90 flaunts a triple rear camera setup led by an awe-inspiring 200MP main sensor, complemented by a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor.

The Honor 90 Pro ups the ante with a remarkable 200MP primary camera, accompanied by a 32MP telephoto lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Both models sport a dual selfie camera arrangement with a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.

Powering these devices are 5000mAh batteries, ensuring ample longevity for a day’s usage. The Honor 90 benefits from 66W fast charging support, while the Honor 90 Pro takes a leap forward with an impressive 90W fast charging capability, allowing for lightning-fast charging times.
