INDIA: The most cherished actor in the South film industry Chiranjeevi added another feather to his silver cap. The megastar was honored with the Indian Film Personality of the Year Award at the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
The Tollywood actor has nearly doubled his number of hit films in the passing years. Being born into a middle-class family, the actor paved his way into the illustrious world of fame.
The charismatic actor has spent four decades in the film industry and has worked in more than 150 films. The actor received an honorary doctorate from Andhra University in addition to receiving the Padma Bhushan in 2006 for his significant contributions to Indian cinema.
Besides receiving the third-highest civilian award in India, he also bagged nine Filmfare Awards, three Nandi Awards, and the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award.
However, chasing his dreams in politics, Chiranjeevi also served as the Minister of Tourism for the Government of India from 2012 and 2014, he backed out from doing films in the recent past, but now he promised his fans that he will not do this again and continue to work in film.
The master craftsman is an actor and producer. Besides his brilliance in Indian cinema, he is a politician and philanthropist who is currently involved in Telugu movies.
Chiranjeevi serves philanthropy through his organization, The Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation, which was established in 1998. The actor will spread his charm on the silver screen with the much-hyped movie Waltair Veerayya, which is made under the banner of Bobby.
The film is slated for its theatrical release on Sankranthi 2023. Alongside Chiranjeevi, Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja will be seen in the pivotal role and Shruti Hassan will play the female lead.
