The completion of this bridge has been a perfect example of a seamless and synergized civil-military response to national emergencies. The Nagpur-Bhopal corridor on NH 46 in Madhya Pradesh is once again connected day and night thanks to the construction of the Bailey Bridge, which also helped to restore vital economic activity.

More than that, an official statement said it had brought assistance to the people of Narmadapuram district, whose daily life was affected as they were regularly cut off due to heavy monsoon.

This Bailey Bridge, a single lane bridge 90 feet long and 3.5 metres wide, can handle heavy traffic. This bridge was created by the Indian Army for the first time in the state of Madhya Pradesh, which is a feat in and of itself.

This bridge’s construction was complicated by a number of factors, including time constraints, inclement weather, and the actual bridge site. However, Southern Command made sure that the Bailey Bridge was built on schedule and that connectivity was restored in a record-breaking six days. During the planning and construction phases, support was given by NHAI and Civil Administration.
