INDIA: After a long wait, the Unpredictable Ninja, Naruto, is going to premiere on Indian television tonight. Sony YAY! has dubbed our favourite Ninja series into Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Bengali. The anime will air from Monday to Friday, beginning tonight at 8 p.m.

Naruto returns to the Indian television

Though this is not the first time Naruto has aired in India, the anime has previously aired on Cartoon Network and Animax. However, it was discontinued on Cartoon Network for unknown reasons, but it has now returned to Indian television.

Naruto has a massive global fan base, with India accounting for the majority of its audience. For a long time, Shonen anime has been a fan favourite of many anime viewers. Though Dragon Ball Z was the first to popularise anime in India, Naruto helped to raise the anime’s profile in the country.

The anime has a total of 220 episodes, which means it will air over a longer period of time. As a result, it is unclear if Sony YAY! will broadcast all 220 episodes or merely a subset of them.

Naruto is also available on Netflix India. The anime series is only available in subbed format with the original Japanese language. Naruto Shippuden is accessible with English subtitles on Crunchyroll. The streaming platform has also added Boruto: Naruto Next Generations to the anime list.

Good News for Indian anime fans
