INDIA: Indians will finally be able to get a Nokia flip phone by HMD Global in the shape of the new Nokia 2660 Flip after missing out on the Nokia 2720 Flip. The smartphone, the second in line of Nokia Mobile’s Originals series phones for this year to arrive in India, will go on sale beginning on August 30, or only two days before the company’s upcoming worldwide launch event.

The Nokia 2660 Flip runs on the S30+ platform instead of KaiOS like the Nokia 2720 Flip or the US-only Nokia 2760 Flip. A 2.8-inch QVGA primary screen (320 x 240 pixels) and a 1.77-inch QQVGA secondary screen are used in this display arrangement (160 x 120 p). There is an LED flash and a 0.3 MP camera. The phone contains:

  • A Unisoc T107 processor.
  • 48 MB of RAM.
  • 128 MB of internal storage.
  • Compatibility for microSD cards up to 32 GB.

According to the manufacturer, the phone’s removable 1450 mAh battery can provide it with up to 6.3 hours of talk time or up to 20.1 days of 4G standby time. It contains a button for emergencies that can be used to contact up to five people at once.

There is a 3.5 mm audio port and a micro-USB port. Wireless FM radio, Bluetooth 4.2, and 4G are all supported on the 2600 Flip. Additionally, it has an MP3 player and about eight games already installed, including Snake.

It’s interesting to note that a remark made by a Twitter user on the business’s teaser tweet includes a screenshot of the device’s retail store pricing, which is around 4699, or 700 more than the Nokia 8210 4G. The Nokia 2660 Flip appears to include a 1-year replacement warranty, much as every other Nokia feature phone sold in India.

The only device left is the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio, which should also be on sale shortly, considering that it has been almost two months since the device was approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on July 1.
