Nirvana Inn To Premiere On Dec. 11

Vijay Jayapal's new age horror film Nirvana Inn, starring Adil Hussain, Sandhya Mridul and Rajshri Deshpande, will only be streaming for 99 hours on the platform

INDIA: Nirvana Inn, written and directed by Vijay Jayapal, is set to have its world premiere on Cinemapreneur from the 11th of December. It’s is a new age horror film starring Adil Hussain, Sandhya Mridul and Rajshri Deshpande. The film premiered under the “A Window on Asian Cinema” section at the 24th Busan International Film Festival with post production support from the Asian Cinema Fund with post-production at South Korea, the home of Asian Horror.

Nirvana Inn follows a troubled boatman who takes charge of a mysterious resort in the Himalayas, where he is forced to confront his dark past. Vijay Jayapal got the idea for the film after reading an article about the Germanwings Flight 9525 crash where the pilot had crashed the plane since he was having some suicidal thoughts. He got so intrigued and disturbed by the story of the crash and the underlying themes of death and guilt that he worked on the story for the next year and a half, intending to ‘make The Shining meets Winter Sleep’. The film will only be streaming for 99 hours on the platform. You can pre-book the film here.

The film is produced by Mathivanan Rajendran, Aditya Grover, Harsh Agarwal, Manoj Poosappan, and Stephen Zacharias. Nirvana Inn is co-produced by Samir Sarkar Jacob Zacharias Stray Factory, Uncombed Buddha, Stop Whinging, Magic Hour Films, and Harman Ventures. It’s supported by the Asian Cinema Fund.
