OnePlus Pad Arrives in India: Smartphone Giant’s First Tablet Enters the Market

INDIA: A first for the Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus has unveiled the much-awaited OnePlus Pad. According to OnePlus, its first tablet is made to give tablet users a quick and fluid experience.

OnePlus introduced a number of new products at the recently concluded Cloud 11 event, including the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus Pad, OnePlus Buds Pro 2 and more.

The OnePlus 11R is a more cost-effective variation of the business’s most recent flagship device, whereas the OnePlus 11 is an incremental improvement over its forerunner.

OnePlus Pad specifications

The MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset powers the OnePlus Pad, which is the first device to include a Cortex X2 core with a maximum clock speed of 3.05GHz. Performance-wise, the Dimensity 9000 is comparable to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The tablet boasts a sizable 11.61-inch 144Hz 10-bit IPS LCD screen with a 7:5 aspect ratio that supports Dolby Vision. It boasts a resolution of 2800 by 2000 and a peak brightness of 500 nits. It features 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage and up to 12GB of RAM.

The 9,510mAh battery inside the device supports 67W SuperVOOC charging, which the company says can recharge the tablet completely in under 80 minutes. OxygenOS 13.1, which is based on Android 13, powers the tablet.

OnePlus Pad features

The aluminium body frame of the OnePlus Pad boasts rounded edges, an 88% screen-to-body ratio, and a rear-facing 13-megapixel camera with 4K at 30 frames per second video recording capabilities.

The device’s front has an 8-megapixel camera that can capture Full HD (1080p) films at 30 frames per second. It features four Dolby Atmos-compatible speakers and OnePlus’ omni-bearing technology, which automatically changes between the left and right speakers.

Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and a USB Type-C port are all supported by the tablet. The Oneplus Stylo and the OnePlus Magnetic Keyboard are included with the OnePlus Pad. It is 552 grammes thick and 0.65 cm thick.

In April, the OnePlus Pad will be available for pre-order. Although no official price has been announced by OnePlus, it is expected to cost around Rs 40,000.
