PM Narendra Modi to Inaugurate Health Ministry’s Post-Budget Webinar Today

The webinar will run from 10:45 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. and will cover three crucial topics: the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, E-Sanjeevani, and the Telemental Health Programme

INDIA: On Saturday, February 26, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s post-Union Budget webcast at 10 a.m. IST.

The webinar will run from 10:45 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. and will cover three crucial topics: the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, E-Sanjeevani, and the Telemental Health Programme.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the goal is to involve stakeholders in moving forward the government’s many health-related programs.

A panel discussion will take place throughout the event, which will feature notable speakers and experts from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, NITI Aayog, industry fora, startups, academia, and other organizations.

There will also be interactive discussions with stakeholders during the webinar. Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, and Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, Union Minister of AYUSH, will jointly preside over the farewell session.

The three key sessions based on the respective themes will be held as follow:

1. Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission: Dr. V K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog will moderate the session followed by a presentation by Dr. Praveen Gedam, Additional CEO, NHA. Eminent personalities from various hospitals and other notable healthcare organizations will be speaking at the session. 

2. National Tele-Medicine initiatives and E-Sanjeevani: This session will be moderated by Prof. K Srinath Reddy, President, PHFI. A presentation on E-Sanjeevani will be given by Mr. Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, MoHFW. Amongst the participants are doctors and heads of companies in the health sector. 

3. Tele Mental Health Programme: This discussion will be moderated and welcomed by Dr. Pratima Murthy, Director of NIMHANS.Shri Vikas Sheel, AS&MD (NHM), MoHFW, will deliver a brief talk on the subject. This session will also have participants from abroad.

The sessions are designed to allow for broad engagement with stakeholders as well as the development of a participatory approach for the timely implementation of announcements. The address of the Prime Minister shall be streamed live on DD News.
