As per the sources, a lawyer named Selvan filed a court notice regarding Vikram’s portrayal of Aditya Karikalan. According to the lawyer, the Chola King never used to put a tilak on his forehead like on the movie poster. The petition filed in the court expressed concern that the Cholas might be misrepresented in the movie and noted that the tilak was visible in the poster but not in the teaser. The lawyer also asked for a social screening of the movie before its theatrical release to make sure the historical accuracy of the characters’ portrayals is maintained.
