Ponniyin Selvan: The New Song, Ponni Nadhi, Emerges as a Musical Joyride

INDIA: Ponni Nadhi, the first and long-awaited song from Ponniyin Selvan: 1, has officially been released by the film’s creators. Mani Ratnam’s forthcoming historical epic is scheduled to come out in a few months, and a new song has been added to the film’s repertoire to heighten excitement.

The lyrical video echoes the symphonic themes which have captivated music lovers. AR Rahman composed the song and contributed his magical voice along with AR Raihanah and Bamba Bakya. Ilango Krishnan provided the lyrical touch, which appears as the most calming element of the music.

Balesh’s shehnai, Kamalakar’s flute, and Vignesh’s violin combine to create a mesmerising tune that sends music fans on a melodic journey. Venky designed the lyrical video, incorporating all the excellent music ensembles into a visual spectacle.

The lyrical video features Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan (Karthi) travelling with the horse, implying that the Ponni Nadhi song will appear at the film’s commencement. The visuals depicted in the clip, along with the enthralling scene, serve as the phenomenal factor.

The historical action-drama stars Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Queen Nandini, Jayam Ravi as Arunmozhi Varman, Karthi as Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan, and Trisha Krishnan as Princess Kundavai. The film also has Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, and Prathiban in prominent roles.

Ponniyin Selvan: 1 is one of the most expensive Indian films, with a budget of 500 crores. Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions and Madaras Talkies, the feature is gearing up for its release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam on September 30, 2022. With Elango Kumaravel and B. Jeyamohan, director Mani Ratnam penned the script for his tented magnum opus.
