INDIA: Late actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan, is making his Bollywood debut with Anvitaa Dutt’s Qala. The trailer of the movie released on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Babil talks his heart out about the pressure he is dealing with to carry forward his father’s legacy.

Babil Khan starrer Qala trailer is finally out

Irrfan Khan was one of the rare gems of Bollywood who carved a niche in the field of acting. The late actor lived through his acting and continued to remain in the memories of the fans through the film he made.

During the media interaction, Babil Khan was asked whether he is nervous or pressured to carry Irrfan’s legacy forward, to which he went on to say, “When we were shooting two years ago, then this pressure would overpower me, it would frighten me. Now, it motivates me to get out of bed and work.”

Adding more volume to his words, he said, “The talent that my father had, he went with it. Now, I’ll explore mine.” The son of the brilliant actor even said, “Life is not what we imagines it to be; rather, it throws new challenges toward us, and we have to find ways to come out of them.”

The mindful actor even planned on trying hands on every new character, will sign new genres, and will walk into the new journey of life wholeheartedly. 

Talking about the film Qala it is made under the production house of Anushka Sharma’s brother Karnesh Sharma, Clean Slate Films. Apart from giving a launchpad to Babil, the movie also has Amit Sial, Neer Raao, Avinash Raj Sharma, and Ashish Singh in pivotal roles.

Qala is slated to release on Netflix on Dec 1, 2022. After the success of BulBul, released during the pandemic on the OTT platform, Qala lands as director Anvitaa Dutt’s next big project.
