CHINA: The Redmi K50S Pro’s specifications have been leaked. We already know that Xiaomi is releasing the new K50 series and that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC.

Recently, a super high-resolution camera was also seen in a regulatory listing for an unknown Xiaomi phone. The Redmi K50S Pro’s full specifications have now been disclosed on Twitter by tipster Yogesh Brar, confirming all of those rumours.

The new Redmi flagship phone is shaping out to be quite a powerhouse if the leak is genuine. A 200MP primary camera would be a first for a Xiaomi phone, according to rumours. Other notable features like 120W fast charging, a 5,000mAh battery, and a 120Hz display are also anticipated.

The back camera system is anticipated to include a 2MP macro lens and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. A 20MP sensor is rumoured to handle selfies on the front.

The K50S Pro is also thought to offer storage options of 128GB and 256GB, along with 8GB and 12GB RAM variations. The list of rumoured specifications is completed with dual speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Alongside the previously released Redmi K50, K50 Pro, and K50 Gaming phones, the Redmi K50S series will be available. The Dimensity 8100 and Dimensity 9000 chips are respectively found in the first two devices, which are Mediatek flagships.

The K50S and K50S Pro are technically the Redmi K50 Gaming’s successors because they have a larger battery, better hardware, and a primary camera with a higher resolution. The Redmi K50 Gaming had the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

The Redmi K50S series will initially make its debut in China. Xiaomi is well known for rebranding products in this range and releasing them outside as Poco phones. For example, the Redmi K50 Gaming smartphone was unveiled as the Poco F4 GT worldwide.

Although the K50 phones haven’t yet been seen outside of China, it wouldn’t be incorrect to assume that a 200MP Poco device will eventually surface. All we can do is wait and see.
