INDIA: Mrunal Thakur and Dulquer Salman starrer epic romance film Sita Ramam debuted at the box office on August 5, 2022. The film had an ordinary opening day, but as the weekend progressed, the romantic film picked up the pace at the box office. According to the box office results, the film made a good profit compared to its budget.
Sita Ramam stars Dulquer Salman, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandannna in the lead roles. Hanu Raghavapudi helmed the period romance film while he also handed the story along with Raj Kumar Kandamudi. Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema produced the film while Annapurna Studios distributed the epic romance movie. Radhakrishna Entertainments distributed the feature in the United States.
Sita Ramam generated a decent box office collection
Along with its Indian release, Sita Ramam made its United States box office debut. According to multiple box office statistics, the film grossed roughly ₹ 2.25 crores in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its first day. The film has so far grossed ₹ 11.25 crores from the following states.
The regular trade pattern was consistent throughout the spectrum. The primary increase in box office came from outside the Telugu states, which was remarkable. Sita Ramam grossed ₹ 2.2 crores at the Kerala box office. The movie did well in Tamil Nadu, where it earned ₹ 2.3 crores. The film grossed roughly ₹ 2.4 crores at the Karnataka box office.
The film’s box office run increased on a holiday basis, which now lands the total Indian collection of approximately ₹ 18.15 crores. The film’s overseas collection also had a decent start where it generated $700k, out of which $600k was from the United States.
Sita Ramam is made on a budget of ₹ 30 crores. Adding up all of the collections from the films’ respective states and overseas, the romance film has earned approximately ₹ 23.85 crores at the global box office. Looking at the stats, it’s reasonable to say that film is on the right track.
The film will likely earn ₹ 34 crores in the following days, as the forthcoming week is jam-packed with holidays, boosting box office numbers.
