UNITED STATES: In a groundbreaking development, global technology and consulting giant Cognizant (NASDAQ: CTSH) has announced its intent to acquire Thirdera, an Elite ServiceNow Partner based in Broomfield, CO. The move is poised to solidify Cognizant’s position as one of the world’s largest and most credentialed ServiceNow partners, with the acquisition expected to add over 940 employees to Cognizant’s ServiceNow Business Group and create one of the largest aggregations of ServiceNow professional certifications globally.

Thirdera is renowned as the largest independent global pure-play ServiceNow consultancy, holding prestigious titles such as the 2023 Worldwide Creator Workflow Partner of the Year and 2023 ServiceNow Americas IT Workflow Partner of the Year. The company’s expertise lies in advisory, implementation, and optimization solutions related to the ServiceNow platform, with a specific focus on emerging enterprise workflow products.

As part of the acquisition, Thirdera’s ServiceNow training platform, Thirdera University – one of the world’s largest – is anticipated to play a pivotal role in credentialing resources to meet the growing demand in the ServiceNow ecosystem. The addition of Thirdera will extend Cognizant’s ServiceNow Business Group’s global presence, with a strategic emphasis on building a $1 billion combined business centered on AI-driven automation.

Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant, expressed his belief in the transformative power of the collaboration, stating, “ServiceNow is leading a market shift toward customer, employee, and creator products. I believe the combination of Cognizant’s deep industry, AI, and platform expertise paired with Thirdera’s leading-edge offerings in enterprise transformation will position Cognizant at the forefront of thought leadership and innovation in the ServiceNow ecosystem.”

The acquisition is set to bring Thirdera’s ServiceNow consultants across North America, Spain, Colombia, the Netherlands, and Australia into the fold. With Thirdera’s leading position in ServiceNow training and certifications, including Certified Master Architects and Certified Technical Architects, the combined Cognizant ServiceNow Business Group is poised to boast over 2,400 specialists and 14,000 certifications – solidifying its status as one of the largest and most highly accredited ServiceNow partners globally.
