All six drivers were in action during the Sebring test. Alex Lynn commented that the track time was crucial for the drivers and the crew members to learn the track and seek more performance.

Action Express Racing (AXR) also ran a test program in the other Cadillac for their drivers, Alexander Sims and Pipo Derani. Sims, a full-time Formula E driver, felt that the bumps and the uneven nature of the Sebring circuit were a learning experience and that he could understand the car’s behaviour better.

Kalvin Parker, Cadillac Racing’s assistant program manager, said it was helpful to have two cars running two different programs at the circuit, including night running, to get drivers used to the new headlights in changing track conditions.

Both Cadillacs of the Chip Ganassi Racing team will feature on the grid for the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, the IMSA season-opener.

The Cadillacs will make their first public runs between 20-22 January next year before the 24-Hour test at Daytona.
