INDIA: One of today’s most acclaimed actors, Thalapathy Vijay, is generating buzz for his upcoming film, and he has officially announced his next project titled ‘Thalapathy 68’. The film has brought on board renowned filmmaker Venkat Prabhu and is being produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram’s AGS Entertainment. Additionally, Archana Kalpathi will serve as the Creative Producer for the film. Reports suggest that composer Yuvan Shankar Raja will be crafting the soundtrack.
Vijay took to his social media handles to share a one-minute-and-eighteen-second video clip, unveiling the announcement. The video showcases an unidentified person circling the names of all the key individuals involved in the project within a crossword puzzle. ‘Thalapathy 68’ marks the 25th film produced by AGS Entertainment.
In their official statement, the production banner stated, “This will be AGS’s most ambitious film to date. It will be an entertaining masterpiece that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds, featuring top-notch technicians of international caliber.” The production team will release further updates, including the cast and crew details and title, in due course through official channels.
Vijay’s previous film, ‘Varisu,’ propelled him into the esteemed Rs 300-crore club, establishing it as a monumental success in his career. Meanwhile, the superstar is occupied with his upcoming film ‘Leo,’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-written by Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy.
The film boasts a stellar cast including Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, and Gautham Vasudev Menon in pivotal roles. According to reports, Dutt is set to portray the role of Vijay’s father in the film. ‘Leo’ is highly anticipated and is scheduled for a global theatrical release on October 19, 2023.
