As per the reports, over 50,000 people will take part in the commemoration on Monday. The entire initiative is a chef-d’oeuvre of Congress MLA Santhosh Lad, the President of the Santhosh Lad Foundation.

Santhosh Laad Foundation made an appearance at the India Book of Records last year on the day of Independence by leading a rally with an enormous crowd of 8,000 people that included a 2000-metre (2 km) long, 9 feet wide tricolour.

This year India will continue to cherish each moment of freedom, remembering the martyred sons of the nation who laid their life serving the country.

Har Ghar Tiranga

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a mass campaigning movement, an initiative to convey patriotism and generate a relationship with the national flag. Each household hoists the tricolor flag and posts it over social media.

PM Modi urged the nation to celebrate Independence week with utmost sincerity and fondness towards the country.

Home Minister Amit Shah along with many other senior BJP leaders have already changed their profile picture on his social media handles to ‘Tiranga’, ahead of the celebration.
