The visitors scored a huge total of 350 runs and pushed the Kohli-led team backwards. This was Kohli’s first match since replacing M.S Dhoni as captain.

If we are talking about Virat Kohli, how can we not talk about Adelaide? The chase master again produced a flawless century in the second innings against Australia in response to their 298 runs.

Kohli is known as the chase master for a reason, and this is yet another ton in chasing. This was an absolutely brilliant knock by him against India’s archrival, Pakistan.

The knock is very special, as this was scored by him in the 2012 Asia Cup. Pakistan scored a humongous total of 329. India was under a lot of pressure as they lost Gautam Gambhir for a duck on the second ball of the innings.

But young Kohli stood up and scored a brilliant 183 on just 148 balls. The inning had only six hits but 22 boundaries. This man’s aggression is what drives him, and many have anticipated that he will be one of India’s greatest batsmen.

A young batsman defeating Lasith Malinga, a rare but fascinating sight to watch. This 2012 Commonwealth Bank Series match was played in Hobart.

Sri Lanka posted a total of 320 runs, but India chased it down in only 36.4 overs, one of the fastest chases of all time. The chase was led by Kohli’s 133 not out.

The stunning innings was studded with a six and 16 boundaries, he scored 133 in just 86 balls, which helped India chase the target so early.

If you love cricket and have not watched this inning, you are missing one of the greatest moment. There are no words to adequately capture the emotion of this inning.

This one inning would be special to Kohli as he was struggling from a form crunch for quite a while.

Kohli completed his 44th century with this ton and ended his three-year century drought. He scored this hundred recently (2022) against Bangladesh.

Virat Kohli faced a lot of criticism and hatred during the period of his century drought. He also left Indian captaincy, but he proved himself again and therefore this century deserves to be in his top 5 ODI centuries.
